Surah Yunus, Ayah:12

Assalam-o-alaikum Ustazah,

Just thinking about ayah 12 of Surah Yunus:

.. and when harm touches man, He invokes us, lying down on his side, or sitting or standing. but when we have removed his harm from him, He passes on his Way as if He had never invoked us for a harm that touched him!.(Yunus:12)

Just thinking of what we humans think of such people who only come to us when in need and disappear when not in need. We all know someone who will only come to us or meet us or call us or keep in touch ONLY when he has a purpose, reason, need, want.

We don’t like such people because they are not sincere, they are selfish.

Generally if such a person calls, we say to ourselves, “Koi kaam ho ga!”

If we do not like such people even though we only get rewards for helping them, how would Allah like us if we are like that with Allah whereas he is the provider of everything?

May Allah give us the Taqwa and Imaan to always turn to him whether in need or not in need, in happiness or sorrow, in good times or in bad times all the time and in all states and conditions. Ameen

Wasalaam

Shazia Afzal
