Assalam-o-alaikum
This Ayah reminded me of a dandelion.
so obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavour, with it (the Qur'ân). [Al-Furqan:52]
Jihadan Kabirah of a Dandelion
I am a dandelion, a beautiful and very useful creation of Allah subhanahu wa taala. I am seen everywhere during spring and summer. I have beautiful leaves and flowers, my leaves are used for salad, I make very good herbal tea and I also have medicinal properties.
But people call me a weed. They will bear me only as long as I am away from their gardens. They will pull me out and spray me with weed killers to get rid of me.
But a dandelion’s job is to grow, bloom, spread its seeds and die off. It does not matter what man does to me. I will grow in back yards, front yards, and sidewalks; between tile, along walls, in light or under shade and spread my seeds for future propagation.
§ I do what Allah has commanded me to do.
§ I don’t wait for a certain time or opportunity to grow.
§ I don’t change myself for the fear of being weeded out.
§ I don’t hate anyone even if one wants to get rid of me.
§ I am beneficial for man in every form even if they he does not like me.
§ I will die but before that i make sure that I prepare the next generation.
§ My seeds are special so that they can travel far and wide with the wind and carry the genetic message to other places.
Oh Muslim!
· Are you doing what your Lord has told you to do?
· Are you waiting for the time or opportunity to do your job?
· Are you changing yourself to protect yourself from discrimination?
· Are you hateful to those who want to get rid of you?
· Are you beneficial to mankind even if they don’t like you?
· Are you preparing your next generation?
· Are your children specially prepared to carry the Message of Allah the world?
If not what will you say to Allah when you meet him?
Oh Allah, give us the taqwa, Imaan and Sabr to do Jihadan kabeera with this Quran and do what we Muslims are supposed to do and not be like the previous nations who failed to do their job. Ameen
