MEDICAL HELP
We arranged four medical camps in those areas where IDPS had lots of health problems and could not get any Medical Help.
Maternity help is required for the pregnant women but it is quite difficult to arrange medical camps for these women. I and my general secretary made a call on Nasreen Ruby, Head of the Gynecology Ward who was kind enough to meet us.
In the meeting with Dr. Ruby & Dr. Seema it was decided that 2 days of the week Tuesday & /Friday special O.P.D, Gynea ward will be arranged for I.DP’s (With reference of A.P.W.A.) from 09:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.
The members have collected the names & registration no & schools of these women & by rotation a van has been hired fro Rs 4000/- per day to pick & drop these pregnant ladies from their schools to the Ward. If they need extra medical care then they will be referred to private doctors and A.P.W.A. will bear the expenses.
EDUCATION
After our visits to different schools, we met hundreds of school going children who were not only dislodged from their home towns, their education was also suffering. We consulted the head masters of these schools in which IDPs are residing temporarily and by the grace of God we have succeeded in arranging two schools functioning fully in Asia Park, G.G.H.S by providing them stationary, books & note books etc. Insha’Allah this education mission will be introduced to other schools as well.
CURRENT SITUATION
As the families are still pouring in so with the help of local volunteers, we are informed about their demands and committee members visit these schools personally and distribute the stuff honestly & equally on regular basis.
APWA was able to provide all this assistance only with the financial support of family members, friends and the entire sister branches of A.P.W.A As well as AL Huda International Welfare Foundation
We offer our special thanks and tribute to Al-Huda International branches that have supported us strongly.
Once again thanks to all who have trusted our organization in this effort.
With best regards,
