Allhamdulillah-e-Rabbil-Alamin by the grace of Allah(SWT) 27TH June’09 was a very successful day for all of us and we were able to achieve our proposed targets on a large scale at Swabi Yaar Hussain Camp. All the team members of the Social Welfare Department were present on this day.  The basic motive of this visit were three major events, which are as follows:-
3 major events:-

• Medical Camps
• Filteration Plant
• Distribution of the Relief Goods

• MEDICAL CAMPS:- There were different Medical Camps arranged for the Affectees.For this purpose,the Doctors relating to different fields offered their best services which included:
• Skin specialists
• Physiotherapists
• Gynaecologists
• Physicians

The medical Camp started at 7.a.m early in the morning and went on till the evening.The male  and  female patients were treated by Male and Female Doctors respectively.Besides this,a large no.of children were also taken care of.Most of the children were suffering from Diarrhoea,Different skin diseases etc.One of the ladies who was pregnant gave birth to a child there.A lot of females were complaining about Backaches and other pains as well.

Total No. of Patients treated were 600

FILTERATION PLANT:-The Big Project of the Filteration Plant has been accomplished by the Grace of Allah (SWT).We all are very very greatful to Al- huda for sponsoring this huge project.It was a great wish of the Team members that the inauguration ceremony of the water filteration plant gets done by Ustaaza but as she wasn’t in town so it was done by her son named Hisham.He along with Meryam,Ustaaza’s daughter and Mr.Atif came all the way to Swabi as Chief Guests for this event.The inaugaration ceremony was followed by a short speech given by  Hisham.A total no.of 40,000 people would be benefitted from it.After that,a survey of the overall camps was done in which the field working members of Al-Huda briefed the chief guests and different problems of the affectees was also highlighted there.The chief guests were also shown the hand pump which was established in the 2nd phase of the camp and they were pleased to see the people getting water easily to fullfill their basic necessities.

Children Activity:-The team members of Al-huda made all the children make a big circle and played games with them for about half an hour in order to divert their attention as the atmosphere is mostly tensed and upset there.This activity was very much appreciated by the mothers and the kids enjoyed it to the fullest.
                                 
DISTRIBUTION OF THE RELIEF GOODS:-A truck was fully loaded with all the relief items for the affectees. They were all distributed in a very disciplined manner.

A total no. of 500 families were given all the necessary Relief items.

Major Problems Identified:-One of the major problems identified was Lack of Fuel.A large no. of peple mentioned that they are badly in need of it for the purpose of cooking because the Government has totally stopped the langar system for them.Now,they cook their own food in tents due to which some of the tents were burned up badly.For this purpose,ONE TRUCK of WOOD has been sent to the Camp immediatey on the 28th of June’09.

A total no. of 607 people were given wood.
The total Cost of one truck is Rs.60,000.

Al-Huda has decided to send the trucks of wood on daily basis in order to cater this issue.

IMMEDIATE DECISIONS TAKEN:-

• All the Team Members along with the Chief Guests decided that one phase would be selected and would be fully equipped by providing all the necessary items and after that would be taken as the Role model in order to take care of the other phases as well.
• For this Purpose,Phase 2 has been selected because Al-Huda has already established a Hand Pump there and has provided electricity to them.So,this phase would be fully equipped firstly and then the other phases respectively,INSHALLAH……

NO. OF TENTS IN EVERY SECTOR:- 110

• Mr.Atif has been kind enough and gave a cash amount for the milk of small children.
